What are the most popular Universities in Pakistan? uniRank tries to answer this question by publishing the 2021 Pakistani University Ranking of 177 Pakistani higher-education institutions meeting the following uniRank selection criteria:

  • being chartered, licensed or accredited by the appropriate Pakistani higher education-related organization
  • offering at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees)
  • delivering courses predominantly in a traditional, face-to-face, non-distance education format
Our aim is to provide a non-academic League Table of the top Pakistani Universities based on valid, unbiased and non-influenceable web metrics provided by independent web intelligence sources rather than data submitted by the Universities themselves.

Established in 1991 for the promotion of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects, the National University of Sciences and Technology is the highest-ranked Pakistani university in the QS World University Rankings, in the 501-550 range.* The university prides itself on its innovative outlook and ranks as one of the top 250 universities in the world for electrical engineering in the QS World University Rankings by Subject.
